A couple of years back there was a game called Savage. It was an interesting little game, a blend of RTS with third person action. The commander played it like a conventional RTS while everyone else ran about the map whacking things in the face. Well a few of the guys who worked on Savage went their own way and started working on a game they called project offset. They released a few videos of tech demos over the years but only now have they released something that looks like gameplay. Its still early days of course and it may well end up sucking but the above footage has me just a little excited. Its been years since Hexen and Heretic and I would lurve something else to follow in their footsteps. Stabbing things in the face has always been a fond hobby of mine. In case you're wondering, a sequel to Savage is also in the works. Its a great time for face stabbing!
